The September product update includes improvements to the employee module, gift cards, online booking, digital forms, Zenoti Mobile and more.
Salons and spas tend to have significant churn and new hires. To speed the process of creating new employee profiles, we’ve created the ability to clone profiles.
When you hire a new employee, you can clone an existing employee record that shares similarities like job, security role or pay details. You can clone this employee profile, and then make necessary updates specific to the new employee.
When cloning an employee record, you can choose which configurations or tabs of information in the employee record to copy to the new profile. For example, you may choose to retain configurations related to security role, services, pay rates, and commissions.
You can now create a gift card promotion that includes a bonus gift card with the purchase of a gift card. For example, when a guest purchases a $100 gift card, they will also receive a bonus $10 gift card.
When a guest purchases the $100 gift card in your center or online, the bonus $10 gift card is added to the guest’s profile and immediately available for use.
The guest can access their bonus gift card number via:
The front desk can access a guest’s bonus gift card number from the Gift Card tab of the guest’s profile. The POS screen also shows any gift cards (received or bonus gift cards).
Bonus gift cards can have an expiration date and can be configured to be one-time use.

Your guests can now purchase gift cards by amount, for a specific service or for a specific package via Webstore 2.0.
The new flow is also an improved user experience that's designed to be mobile-first.
Webstore 2.0 now supports the ability for guests to check their gift card balance online. Guests simply provide the gift card number and the gift card recipient’s email address.
If you are a membership-based business, you may want to show member prices on your website. If a guest that is a member logs into your site, they will see member-based pricing, which is typically a discounted price.
Once the guest begins the actual booking flow, the system will consider your membership rules and update price or credit deduction accordingly.

Last month, we released the ability to easily view before and after pictures from one screen. This month, we will extend that functionality from desktop and Android to the iOS platform.
The gallery view of before and after pics allows you to quickly scan all images taken as part of a guest intake form or service form. You can also select two images for a side-by-side comparison.
Regulations may require that you get signed consent from a guest in order to administer a specific service. Regulations may also mandate that the consent is renewed periodically.
You may have already set up a consent form as part of a service level form. In this case, if your guest takes multiple services, they would need to sign consent for each service. Now, you can create a separate consent form that applies to multiple services. This means that the guest needs only sign the consent once, and not separately for each service.
You can define an expiration date for a consent form. For example, you might require guests to sign the consent again one year after the original sign date, or before every visit.
The appointment book will show an icon on the guest’s appointment block if the guest must sign a consent form.
If your providers use Zenoti Mobile on Android, you were able to restrict a provider’s access to data and capabilities from the mobile app if the provider was not on-site at your business. For example, you could block access to appointment details and invoices, or block the ability for employees to check-in until they are on premise.
These restrictions are now supported in iOS.
When you have a walk-in guest, your front desk can hand over a tablet for that guest to fill in their basic details and fill out the intake form. Earlier, the front desk would need to switch screens for each of these steps. Now we’ve streamlined the process so the guest seamlessly moves from one screen to the next.
Currently, when using the feature to generate purchase orders (and transfer orders) automatically, the system clubs retail and consumable products together.
For example, you may have defined the following for a green tea shampoo:
If you currently have 60 bottles remaining in stock, the system will alert you and auto generate a purchase order with an order quantity of 25 more bottles for retail, plus an additional 25 bottles for consumable.
With this upgrade, you will be able to define desired levels, alert levels, and order quantities separately for retail and consumable products.
