The January product update includes a host of new features and enhancements touching almost all the modules of Zenoti. The update includes improvements to the Appointment Book and Booking Wizard, Employee Management module, Memberships, Packages, Zenoti Mobile, Webstore, and more.
Earlier, when a service was booked with an add-on, the add-on did not impact the service duration time. With this release, you can now assign a duration to an add-on. For example, if a service "manicure" has an add-on for "gel removal", the appointment will now add the appropriate duration for the service plus add-on. This feature does require appropriate organizational level settings. Appointments made through the Appointment Book, Booking Wizard and online booking will reflect this change.
Businesses that offer high-cost series packages or those that stretch over a long period of time often offer flexible payment and refund terms. Earlier, when you refunded a package, you could refund an amount equal to the balance remaining on the package. With this upgrade, with the relevant settings enabled and role permissions, you will be able to refund an amount that exceeds the current package balance. Consider this example. A regular guest purchases a newly introduced slimming package for $500 and after utilizing $200 worth of services decides the treatment is not working and requests a full refund. You can now refund more than the balance of $300 and refund any custom amount.
Earlier, when an add-on was added to a service, Zenoti assumed that the service provider could also perform the add-on. Now, you can define which providers are allowed to perform an add-on, and Zenoti will restrict which providers show when booking a service with that add-on. For example, an add on for "cupping" requires the provider be certified. Now, when a massage is booked with cupping, Zenoti will show only those providers allowed to perform the add-on.
Note: This enhancement is supported when booking in the bottom panel of the Appointment Book, the Booking Wizard, Webstore V1 and V2, and Zenoti Mobile (iOS). This is not supported via Zenoti Mobile (Android) and CMA (Customer Mobile App).
Earlier, for memberships (both recurring and non-recurring), you could select the redemption frequency from a list of predefined values in weeks or months, but not in days. After the upgrade, you can specify a redemption frequency of your choice based on either weeks, months, or days. For example, earlier, for a service in a membership, you could set the frequency to Monthly. After the upgrade, you can choose to specify frequency as 21 days.
Earlier, if you wanted to track professional product consumption, the provider informed the front desk of the products and quantity used, who would then update Zenoti through the web application. With this upgrade, with the relevant settings and permissions, your service providers can enter product consumption directly via the Zenoti mobile.
Earlier, after the sale of a membership on Zenoti, if you needed the guest’s signature on a consent or agreement form, you had to take a printout and then capture the guest's signature. With this upgrade, we are introducing digital forms that allow your guests to sign and submit such forms directly from the Zenoti Mobile when a membership sale is done. Reach out to Zenoti Support for more information.
With this upgrade, you can enable guests to make group bookings for up to 6 guests through online booking. Group bookings support single service (without add-ons) bookings.
