Enhancing customer experience through online booking

A recent transition for Strøm Spa had nothing to do with their physical locations but ended up being a major game-changer for business and customers alike. As Justin Melanson, IT Director and CIO of Strøm Spa explains, the real transformation came through the Zenoti software platform.  

"One of the things we've done to achieve greatness was going with Zenoti and changing our main system for a much better one," Melanson says.

Before Zenoti, Strøm Spa lacked an online reservation tool – a critical need in today's digitally connected world. The inability to book online not only affected their customer experience but also strained resources.  

As a countermeasure, Strøm Spa built a customer service department with around 70 full-time employees answering phones and taking reservations manually. Adding online booking through Zenoti brought two major advantages: substantial call-center savings from a reduced staffing need and a digital self-serve touchpoint today’s customers want.

“[With online reservations], people can now see what's available for massotherapy, and so can the employees. So it's going to be much easier to work with Zenoti versus the actual system we had," Melanson adds.

Boosting IT infrastructure to streamline spa operations

Implementing Zenoti has allowed Strøm Spa to showcase their locations on a platform capable of reflecting their top-tier reputation. Much more than a software upgrade, Zenoti represents the start of enhanced functionalities for the spa.

"Zenoti is our first step into a much better IT service. We're going to be changing most of the other systems too, but Zenoti is really the foundation of what we want to do.”

Zenoti’s SaaS solution unburdens Strøm Spa from the need to manage multiple servers, thus boosting the company’s IT infrastructure. The flexibility and scalability of the Zenoti platform are also crucial for Strøm Spa's ambitious growth plans.  

"Having Zenoti means a possibility of growth. It's also a possibility to have a better customer and employee experience, and that’s very important for us,” says Melanson.  

With plans to expand their services beyond Quebec to other provinces in Canada and the United States, Strøm Spa is poised to serve even more customers – a projected 600,000 in the coming year.
