Evergreen beauty college started 25 years ago with my parents. My mom and dad had started the school, and my mom has always been a huge proponent of supporting students.
We work with a variety of different individuals who are looking to change their life, learn about themselves in different ways, build their confidence and new skills, and get to belong to this industry that's changed all of our lives as well. A big portion that has changed so much in the beauty industry is the implementation of technology.
Technology is a huge part of where the industry is moving to nowadays. A lot of students and now professionals that are either running their own chair or being able to provide their own services they need to make it convenient for their clients. And Zenoti is a wonderful way to step into that world for them.
We created what we call the express beauty checkout, and it's the acronym for EBC. So we kind of love that. Our guests find benefit with our Express speedy checkout by being able to go from the chair, look their next appointment right where they're at, and be able to walk out the front door without an extra step.
And so the technology allows us to retain a card on file and to be able to email their receipt to them. It really simplifies things. It also allows us to manage wait times at the front desk.
If we get very busy, anybody can navigate the tablet and be able to close out guests tickets on the floor in the spa. And so it's just really allowed us to innovate and to take care of our guests in a whole new way.
In the industry nowadays, a lot of clients demand the ability to do something in a convenient way. They want to be able to go online and book something. They want to be able to text back and forth, and they also want to be able to see their history of services.
Zenoti's online booking has benefited us tremendously because I'm not manually writing out everybody's appointments and color formulas, I'm now able to focus more on our guests. I can answer the phone first or second ring, which really provides that top of the line service to our guests.
Zenoti has helped streamline the booking process because whether it's outside of operating hours, inside of operating hours, and they can book online, they can request me specifically without having to wait. It's made the booking process way more convenient on their end and our end.
It's really important in our minds to teach our students to be able to utilize and leverage technology like Zenoti. We feel accountable to make sure to build the habits, have the knowledge. So when they graduate, they don't have to start from scratch on how to utilize that. They already have the education and they can hit the ground running.
I use Zenoti all the time so that I can better manage my appointments throughout the day and be mentally prepared for that client to best service them. I get to tailor that experience after learning their guest history, and because of that they get to leave feeling better, happier with a smile on their face. And it's as simple as click, click, done.
The way that the technology empowers me as a guest service representative is really just by making sure that everything flows smoothly, everything's really seamless. Anything I do in the program, the educators can see. Anything the educators might change on a ticket, I can see.
Partnering with Zenoti and using a very modern technology as part of our education experience, it's really setting our students up to be the best that they can be and to be competitive in the industry.
